A segment on this morning's CNN broadcast discussed Vice President Dick Cheney's planned testimony as a defense witness in the Justice Department's perjury case against former White House aide Lewis "Scooter" Libby. CNN broadcaster Soledad O'Brien remarked that "it can be kind of confusing" but that "the big take away from this is 'the VP on the stand.'"
CNN correspondent John King noted that Cheney's testimony could be "potentially, politically damaging."
