Caring About Our Troops!

by Global Evildoer Fighter @ 8:45 PM EDT

How to Care about our Troops
By Global Evildoer Fighter

"We need to fund our troops, the Democrats are Imperiling our Troops!" - GW Bush/Dick Cheney

"If Bush & Cheney cared about our Troops we wouldn't be in Iraq any more and Walter Reed would be better equipped than a 5 star hotel."

Bush is doing his famous doublespeak again!

Fact is that Bush & Cheney don't give a rats about our troops!

"Compassion should be the first feeling one gets if one cares about human beings."

Bush and Cheney are sacrificing our troops lives over and over again in multiple tours of duty on a Failed Mission!
Where's the Compassion ? In more Body Armor ? What about our Troops and their families ?"

When Bush gives me more body armor that doesn't mean he cares about me, that means he wants me well protected so I can continue to fight his war while doing more psychological damage to my brain cells and soul.

If body armor is so good then why do US Soldiers come back with missing limbs and torn up minds ?!

Care about me ? Exactly HOW does Bush & Cheney care about me ?

By sending me back into the meat grinder over and over and over again ?
Oh I feel the Compassion from those Warm IUDs already!

You want to Care about the Troops ?

End this War. That's Caring. That's Compassion!

The Bush/Cheney doublespeak is full on bullsh#t and the Majority of America knows it!

My First Rant ?

How do you like it ?

It's a bit rusty..but it's the dry truth! :)

Excellent Rant, GEF! ;)

You are absolutely correct!

Rusty or not GEF it works.

I am sick and tired of yellow ribbon patriotism, from people who scream to cut funding for the dependents of the troops to the point where some people who are serving in a combat zone know their Dependant's are sitting in a food stamp office begging the US Government for food stamps to feed their children while those children's parents are putting their lives and limbs in harms way for the very same government.

I'm sick and fucking tired of listening republican pukes scream they support the troops as thre CUT funding for the medical care for the wounded troops from past conflicts.

I am sick and tired of listening fat cat republican activists and politicians scream all about how much they support the troops while they cut the medical benefits to their families and demand co-payments from the meager pay the troops get for defending those fat cat chicken hawks sorry asses.

If they really want to support the troops how about giving back a small portion of their unnecessary millionaires give away to raise the troops pay so families don't have to worry if they qualify for food stamps this month, or how bad the co-payment is going to hurt the family budget, and allow the VA to treat ALL veterans like the federal government promised when we signed a contract with the government.

I know your a bunch of gutless chicken hawk punks but give the troops a little more money and full medical care while they serve and full medical care if they are disabled from their service, it's absolutely the least you should be willing to do.

Of course you will ONLY do the least you ever have to do, you republicans have proved that time and again.

But at least do the least any human being with a conscience would do.

Thanks s-q, Larry!

Clif,

Yep. I agree!

That's why their rhetoric about caring for our troops is as hollow as the inside of the Bubble they're all living in!

Larry said...

Bush has never attended a soldiers funeral.

Bush's photo op at Walter Reed was his first in 3 years.

Bush is a miserable human being.

Suzie-Q (S-Q) said...

It's the Cheney's, Bush's, McCain's, and Lieberman's, that keep this crazy war machine going!

They should be Impeached and Recalled! Damn, if they don't care anymore for the people of this country than that, then they shouldn't be in public service! They are supposed to work for us..but they obviously don't!

Larry said...

Bush has a bunch of loyal lapdogs that are so drunk with power and all the money from that, they ignore those affected most.

Bush should be fired and impeached and then let him spend time every day working at Walter Reed, caring for those he sent to harms way.

Been there and done that and it took from 1992 till 1999 for me to make them give me a disability in full for my condition, and I understand how Government regulations work.

Larry said...

The government could take away the red tape and give benefits quicker if the cared.

Bush cares nothing for those he sends into danger.

I created a blog on Wordpress today but I am still playing around with it. When I imported from blogger to Wordpress it imported most of it except for the videos and there are a lot of them on this blog!
Also, the S-Q name was taken but I got a good name. ;)

clif said...

They use a lot of legalistic means, and deceptive practices to try NOT to pay claims. In my case they refused to get older records from my service, refused to get social Security records, tried to twist what both my military medical; records and the tests said to include denying me treatments doctors called for.

I got the Disabled American Veterans to help, and they found 9 separate violations of Title 38 in my records, which means they broke the law 9 times in my case not to mention trying to stop my claims because of a mistake on a dental record.

I know of vets who gave up even with better claims then I had. and today the army is misdiagnosing vets with a questionable "pre-existing condition" lie which claims the trauma and wounds existed previous to a soldiers deployment and even enlistment, especially a personality disorder, which eliminates the need for either the army or VA to treat the veterans.

It is the ultimate crime they commit against a wounded vet, claim they were suffering a personality disorder previous to the soldiers enlistment which means they have NO obligation for treatment or compensation just so they can save money.

That is one that really pisses me off, but the medical doctors in the military are safe from malpractice suits because the federal law prohibits the troops from suing the doctors or military from any malpractice at all.

SICK

Second, I would appoint qualified people in the WH.

SQ,

I can agree to that order. If that were to happen, the economy would improve, those who need a job could have one, and corruption would end.

Larry said...

Clif:

Look at all the veterans who aren't as fortunate as you to stick it out and get their benefits.

I bet there are more than we will ever know.

Did you hear about the young soldier who couldn't get mental health care when he told them he was thinking of suicide? They told him he was on a waiting list! A couple of days later he committed suicide!

The story is on my blog..back a couple of months.. Very sad!!

The Raw Story | Armed Services Chair to Gates: Where does Iraq War end?

They are still covering up Poppy/Cheney's dirty secrets from the first Gulf War. Those troops are still suffering. Junior low balls the troops for his "surge" and the money then ends up asking for extensions or emergency funds. So predictable and such an ass.

They might be able to save people with head injuries but when they cannot get therapy when they get out for 6 months or more, it cost those soldiers a lot in the quality of life.

Larry said...

That story is horrible. He had all the signs of distress and even sought help.

There is no excuse for that.

Suzie-Q (S-Q) said...

# 26 on the waiting list and 4 days after his visit he killed himself!

There is something definitely wrong with that!! It's outrageous!

Larry said...

Nothing can make up to his family for this. No amount of compensation. They are cold people.

clif said...

No s-q that was just one of their violations, others included refusing to set me up for a test a doctor ordered.

Some of them were for improperly ajudacating what the doctors diagnosed me with, and denying it was service connected, If I hadn't just gotten a commissioning physical a year before I deployed I would have not been able to prove some of their falsehoods.

They also didn't like the fact I used my congressman to get records they didn't want to release.

That was before the 1994 re-pubie take over.

Suzie-Q (S-Q) said...

Teak:

They never had a plan to end this war...not even when Dumbyeah stood there and told us "Mission Accomplished"

Suzie-Q (S-Q) said...

Clif:

No soldier should have to go through that!

They're sending previously injured troops back over there without a medical exam...thus no record, no documentation to be held accountable for!

clif said...

The VA has only so much money far two little to properly treat the number of vets returning from this illegal war.

The real villains are the people who refuse to accept their responsibility for the war they authorized, and the administration which lies about both the war and vets who return from it.

They will end up killing as many vets who return as they do over there.

teak said...

I read his story and there are plenty of others like him or they come home and do risky type behaviors that end up killing them.

You know that old stigma still exists too even though they say it doesn't anymore in the military. Bush keeps making the blowback worse too because imagine the PTSD in Iraq or Afghanistan.

I wonder how many soldiers are "test" subjects with their damn vaccines?

clif said...

s-q my medical records from desert storm are completely missing, which made part of my claim very hard to explain, If I hadn't gotten a complete physical right before I got commissioned a year before, I wouldn't have been abler to prove part of my disability was NOT a pre-existing condition, but that physical showed it did not exist right before I returned to duty, and nothing I my active duty records before deployment showed the condition, but upon My return it shops up in my records, NOT the records from Desert Storm which would show where it came from, those are lost for ever(mysteriously)

Most people tried to deny they had problems(and save their careers) but I didn't have to because some of mine were very apparent right away, and I needed treatment with in a few days of my return.

Suzie-Q (S-Q) said...

Did you guys see this story about the injured soldiers deployed?

Seriously Injured Troops Were Deployed

clif said...

Yes I read that a couple of days ago, this is just part of where military doctors are willing to say what the army wants NOT what the medical condition warrants, and they will be protected from malpractice if any troops get injured even more from this deployment.

Suzie-Q (S-Q) said...

I wonder how many soldiers are "test" subjects with their damn vaccines?
------------

Teak:

Good question! We will never know...

Suzie-Q (S-Q) said...

Clif:

That is amazing that your medical records were missing... the more I hear about this type of treatment to our military, the more upset I get!

I can only imagine the anguish you and others have had to endure! I am sorry for you Clif! That isn't the way to treat our military and Vets.

clif said...

s-q I have two letters from DOD which say according to their records I "probably" was expsed to chemical weapons from the military activity in the theater of operations in Desert Storm, but the VA refuses to allow those to be added to my records because it says.."probably" since the army has NOt excluded the possibility I was not exposed the VA says it means nothing,

I worked destroying enormous amounts of Iraqi ammunition after the war, and after we returned we learned some of those rounds probably were chemical weapons.

Since the VA says the paper work is inconclusive according to their standards it means nothing as far as diagnostic purposes go. Thus they refuse to include it,

teak said...

Did you finally get your disability, Clif? I can imagine, I had to fight SS for regular disability. You have no dignity left when you are done and might as well be living on the street. They don't care.

Dammit! I knew it. Aww, I am so sorry Clif. Some doctor in Germany got the goods on us after GW1. He got arrested for his troubles too.

clif said...

there is a book called

"Gassed in the Gulf" by Patrick Eddington, who was a CIA analyst during Desert Storm and knew the Government was lying about this, which goes into detail with what happened and how the military and Government covered this up to keep from paying enormous amounts of claims if the truth was completely revealed.

Larry said...

SQ,

It must be devasting to lose a child or anyone that way. It is senseless.

teak said...

I understand more than you know probably. It sucks too not knowing for sure what happened to you.

Meanwhile, some people have ambulances and EMTs on hand to go hunting while our veterans suffer without the care they need. That really pisses me.

clif said...

I'm one of the lucky ones who knew how government regulations worked, and kept good records, combined with I refuse to give up, that is not me.

Also having somebody from the DVA help me was extremely important because they know most of the tricks the military and VA try to pull, and could warn me about them.

Most vets don't understand the system, and give up in frustration, or even worse like Jonathon Schulze did. As long as the tax cut fooles don't have to pay for the horrors they create they don't see any problems.

teak said...

Do you think they used DU in any weapons? I watched a video where the DOD said it was safe and others argued about it. Supposedly those people in that area got sick when they came home along with the Iraqis.

Just wondering if maybe they don't want to admit that part either, because then that IS a can of worms. Bush's enablers should be thinking about that before they encourage him anymore.

clif said...

D U (depleted uranium) is used in the M-1 main round, which they shoot at all tanks and other armored vehicles, also the Bradley Fighting vehicle Main turret 30 mm chain gun, the Apache helicopter main under pilot 30 mm chain gun, Vulcan anti aircraft 30 mm chain gun, A-10 Thunderbolt II 30 mm main gun and in armor of some US and NATO armored vehicles.

In other words most of the larger weapons system the military used in armored combat and close air support.

----------

Clif:

OMG! After you returned? After and not before you handled them?

Larry said...

They really treat the troops like third class citizens. They don't appreciate what they do.

clif said...

The Iraqis were not very good at marking their home built rounds, and they didn't segregate them like we do, so when we blew up large piles of ammunition we found in their ammo dumps we also blew up what ever chem rounds they stored there, the Military has over 19,000 M-8 chemical alerts which went off, and the military tries to say they were all false alarms.

Also during the air campaign they blew up both chemical storage areas and production plants which released quite a bit of chemical weapons into the air which blew toward the US positions.
